As a business owner, you’ve probably decided to step up your video marketing game this year. But, creating and posting videos daily or even weekly can feel daunting. Even I, a professional videographer and filmmaker, can feel overwhelmed by the task!
That’s why I came up with these four simple tips to inspire you. They might help you develop content and stay consistent throughout the year.
#1. Your Film Environment. Carve out a dedicated space in your office area to film yourself. That may seem counterintuitive. You might be thinking: Shouldn’t I create my content first? Why should I prepare an area to film when I haven’t decided what I want to post about?
It's always more soothing – for me, when I check that box first. Knowing that my branded backdrop, camera, audio, and lighting are all set, I feel good. When I’m ready to film, all I do is tap the record button. If I arrange my space first, I can record messages to my clients as soon as I finish preparing my content.
#2. Your Content. Produce relevant and informative messages for your audience. Besides producing your industry-related content, a good idea is to scrub through upcoming calendars and annual and national events. Take note of dates and events that pertain to your industry. [For instance, if you’re a professional speaker, you can plan a video message or event around March 14th, National Speakers Day.] Consider what you might communicate on those special days and how the item or event relates to your industry. Local, regional, and national news can spark ideas to weave headlines with your brand, creating relevance. You might comment on the issue from your brand perspective.
#3. Ask Ai. If you’re in a pinch for ideas, you can always ask ChatGPT for suggested content. If you know the right question to ask or the best series of prompts to enter, Ai will give you a great starting point. Ai can even create a content calendar for you.
Even so, you’ll still have to do the work to produce quality video marketing content. You’ll also need to practice your script and employ the best practices to film your video with your audio and lighting equipment. ChatGPT can't do that for you.
#4. Consult with the Pros. On those days when you're unsure about what to do next, contact Vines Film and Media. Our motto is where vision meets value.
