A lot of my clients have shared that they don't like the way they sound on camera. To remedy this, here are a few recommendations to improve your voice.
First: Own it! Sincerely, your voice isn't as bad as you think it is. There are so many celebrities that have made millions despite, or even because of their voices so just accept your voice as an extension of you. Love yourself, love your voice.

But you can adjust your voice a bit. Use your lower register. If you listen to Oprah’s voice during her first broadcast, you’ll notice how high it is. She was likely using her natural speaking voice. But throughout the years, Oprah’s voice has gotten lower, heavier, with a lot more depth. We associate Oprah’s voice with power, conviction, and resolve. Drop your voice an octave or so and see if you like what you hear.
Second, don't eat and drink certain things before you go on camera. Dairy may create mucus and flem. Our media training team will walk you through this and other sage advice before you film your promotional video projects with us.
Third, bring your good mood to the filming process. If you're feeling sad, nervous, or unsure, it will come across in your voice.
